The show I'm doing currently, Waiting For Lefty, is from 1935 and is about a bunch of cabbies in New York deciding to go on strike. It was crazy popular when it was first performed, back between the Great Depression and World War II. Well today, Chicago's cabbies are striking in an effort to get higher wages from the city. Coincidence?
