For once, system is working for you.
Apparently there was a time when all the judges working as workman's comp arbiters in Chicago were in the pockets of the insurance companies and agreed to whatever they offered. But in the past five years, there's been a turn around and the judges are actually compassionate and fair now.
That's what the insurance company's lawyer told me. He was a nice guy too. He even emailed me copies of my medical paperwork that I'd never received.
Then, timing for your compensation is perfect.
