September 22, 2008: "James's Big Leap"
(click for archives)
I found many sources that say that the possessive of an s-ending singular noun is to add 's (eg, James's), but I have an old grammar guide that says to add only the apostrophe (eg, James'). I would think that only adding the apostrophe could generate confusion as to whether the noun was singular or plural (is he the plural form of Jame?), since you add only the apostrophe to plural s-ending words. So I think I made the correct choice with this strip's title, but feel free to educate me otherwise.

No opinion on the grammar issue.
Two other things:
Your contact me link doesn't work for me and being Flash I can't really trace where its supposed to go. Could be a firefox or noscript issue. So just to say.
Also, in Chicago until Monday. Interested in lunch, or dinner, or fish juggling? Don't have your number anymore (seem to lose all the numbers in my phone every 6 weeks like clockwork, and didn't get a good web backup installed until a few months ago. But email works.
Try the old standby ktm (apenstaartje) zuzax (full stop) com
I've been unable to replicate any of the Flash problems a few people have had with my menu. It might be a problem with the Flash plug-in, but who knows? Next week, I'll put up a backup-menu for people having problems. Sorry about that.
