Believe me, I think about issues of appropriateness, confidentiality, and good taste constantly when creating this comic. I don't put everything on the internet, and these personal conversations are not only edited for conciseness and brevity, but also to keep certain things completely private while maintaining truth.
That's one of the main reasons I never use people's last names in the comics, plus the text in the comic is not able to be cataloged by search engines.
So, let me get this straight. This person confided something very personal to you. The fact that she doesn't even LOOK at you because she is afraid of what others will think..and you think you have been discreet because you haven't posted her last name?
Joke's on all of us, right? This girl really doesn't exist..you just made her up for your comic, 'cause I can't believe anyone would be that heartless, or that stupid to reveal her innermost feelings to the entire world, just because you can. Do you think you have some sort of obligation to do that...for the sake of truth?
